Symptoms of Diabetes in Developed Countries, Blood Glucose : What You Can Do To Help

Blood glucose levels can change suddenly. There are symptoms for hyperglycemia (high blood sugar) and hypoglycemia (low blood sugar).

The signs of hyperglycemia are blurred vision, thirst, headache, fatigue, and difficulty concentrating. If these happen, encourage me to check my blood sugar level immediately. Treatment could be as simple as drinking water or I may need to adjust my eating plan or medications.

The symptoms of hypoglycemia (low blood sugar) are a ravenous appetite, sweating and trembling, and being confused and cranky. If you see this happening to me, remind me to check my blood sugar right away. If I'm low on glucose, I may need your help to quickly get sugar into my body.
